4-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski has recently commented on former teammate and good friend, Tom Brady’s ‘recent ‘huge’ blowup at his podcast. Brady snapped at Jim Gray a couple of days ago when he asked Brady about his retirement. Ever since losing the playoff game to the Cowboys, questions about his retirement has pounded Brady as his contract ends with the Buccaneers this season.
Brady’s post-match press conference after the loss also seemed like a goodbye speech and hence, there are a lot of speculations about his retirement. Brady, who is currently 45 lost his cool in the podcast when Gray asked about his future plans. Brady used some NSFW language saying that he has no idea about what he’ll do in the future.
Speaking on the Up & Adams show, Gronkowski addressed the Brady situation and said that the QBs blowup doesn’t come as a surprise to him since there is a limit every person has. Gronk believes that Brady was ‘pushed’ to his limit and hence, he isn’t ‘surprised’ by the way Brady reacted.
“I’m not surprised at all,” Gronkowski said. “I can’t believe it took that long for him to blow up about it. You can only get pushed so far and asked that question so many times. Especially when you truly don’t know what you’re gonna do.”

Gronkowski, who has played professional football only with Brady- first at New England and then at Tampa Bay, is a huge Brady admirer and said that the NFL legend is setting new standards. He is letting everyone know that he doesn’t know about his future and everyone should take a step back and let him take his time. Gronk absolutely loves his attitude and stands by Brady.
“He was just setting the standard of, ‘Everybody shut the F up. Let me go through the process.’ And I respect it. You gotta love it, and it’s the truth, though. And I love how he did it on his own guy,” Gronkowski said.
Brady hasn’t commented on his retirement and over the last few weeks, he has been linked to various teams. If he decides to play another season, the Las Vegas Raiders, the Miami Dolphins, and the New England Patriots are a few teams that may be interested in having Brady as their QB.
