Russell Wilson threw an interception costing the Broncos a win.
Russell Wilson may have ended up being one of the frontrunners to audition in the next season of Money Heist if there were one. The quarterback for the Denver Broncos has underperformed this season. He is by no means the mobile quarterback he was in Seattle. When it comes to making throws as well, Wilson has disintegrated.
The Denver Broncos faced off against the Los Angeles Rams earlier today. The game was a blowout. The Rams dominated throughout and won the game 51-14, what a night it was for Baker Mayfield, who threw for 230 yards and had 2 touchdowns with no interceptions at all. On the opposite end, however, it was a totally different story.
Russell Wilson had one of the worst games of this season. He did throw for 214 yards and connected on a touchdown with Greg Dulcich, but he ended up throwing 3 interceptions. Wilson’s performance this season has not just frustrated fans but his teammates as well. Due to the differential on the scoreboard, the linemen for the Broncos ended up getting into an altercation with their counterparts on the Rams. Can fans really blame them for it?

Russell Wilson’s massive contract does not help his case either:

Wilson is currently 34. The Broncos gave up a lot to get him and locked him in for five years, and offered him a $240 million extension. This contract was cheered upon by fans when it happened, but now, it is looking like this contract may end up going down in history as one of the worst contracts to be signed in NFL history, and that is saying a lot.
Wilson’s passes were intercepted because they were bad. On the second interception, he ended up throwing the ball directly to Bobby Wagner. The Broncos were expected to make the Super Bowl this season, however; they have underperformed and have been ruled out of playoff contention.
The quarterback’s performance last night irked fans, and they took to Twitter to express their anger over his play this season.
He finessed the organization into paying him generational money. Some think of it as fraud while some think of it as the smartest thing ever.
Pete Carroll is somewhere out there smiling.
That’s what Denver did before the season began, locked him up for 4 more years, Let’s Ride!
To be fair, this does make sense as well.
Cannot blame a player for securing the bag.
Going to be a long, long ride eh Broncos country?
Props to Baker Mayfield, that man got a lot of dirt thrown on his name. Good to see he’s in an environment where he can thrive.
Any GM in his position may have done the same. Given Wilson’s track record, it did seem like a plausible thing to do.
Robbed the Mile High Club clean.
Cannot really argue with this logic.
Broncos country, let’s cry!
Why would any athlete turn down a payday like that?
You wish.
Hackett does have to take up some blame as well. It is not all Russ.
Hopefully, Wilson comes back stronger next year and works on his confidence. For some reason, the QB appears to be second-guessing himself a lot. The Broncos are a squad filled with immense talent and if fans get the Seattle version of Wilson back, they will be a force to be reckoned with.
