Shannon Sharpe CEMENTS Jalen Hurts as his MVP for the season, lashes out at everyone who thinks the Eagles aren’t the current best football team

Shannon Sharpe and Jalen Hurts
3-time Super Bowl champion and top analyst Shannon Sharpe has chosen Jalen Hurts as his MVP for the season based on his current performance. Hurts has led the Philadelphia Eagles to perfection this season and has been the main man in the team’s success. Statistically too, Hurts is edging everyone in the league.
Speaking on Undisputed with Skip Bayless, Sharpe said the Hurts is his MVP. He put light on the fact that the Eagles aren’t an unbeatable team and cited the Commanders beating them as an example to support his argument. Adding to that, he strongly believes that overall, they are a complete package.
“We saw the Commanders, who are not as talented, who are not as good a team as Cowboys go into Philadelphia and beat them. So Philly isn’t unbeatable, but if you watched them yesterday, they do everything better than the Cowboys. They protect their quarterback better, they run the football better, they throw it better, they catch it better,” Sharpe said.
According to Sharpe, the Eagles’ offense is the best in the league and they run mayhem whenever they are in sync, unlike the Cowboys who look ugly even when they are scoring well. Sharpe credited Hurts for this surge of the Eagles and said that he can not only throw the ball well but also run with it.
“I don’t know what the analytics say but if you watch Skip what the Eagles did yesterday, that was demolition. That was demolition. We’ve seen the Cowboys hunt Giants but they don’t look like this. Jalen Hurts, he’s clear. I haven’t seen it but I don’t see a betting scenario where he isn’t the favorite because in the last two games he’s been exceptional. Not only did he throw the ball well, he ran the ball well,” he added.
Shannon Sharpe heaps praises of Jalen Hurts and the Eagles

Sharpe argued that while Patrick Mahomes may be in contention for the MVP, Hurts will be the clear favorite. He added that anyone who says the Eagles aren’t the best football team right now is either not watching or doesn’t know football.
“The MVP right now if I had a vote would be Jalen Hurts. Anybody that says the Eagles aren’t the best team in football is either not watching or doesn’t know football. They’re head and shoulders above everyone else in the league,” he said.
The Eagles are currently 12-1 for the season and have become the first team this season to qualify for the playoffs. They will take on the Bears next before facing the Cowboys in a blockbuster clash on Christmas eve.
