“No championship energy or urgency” Skip Bayless LAMBASTS Tom Brady for yet another poor outing for the Bucs this season against the Browns
Skip Bayless and Tom Brady
Renowned TV personality Skip Bayless has attacked legendary quarterback Tom Brady for his poor performance against the Browns. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost the Week 12 game to the Cleveland Browns 17-23 in OT courtesy of a brilliant team game by the home team led by quarterback Jacoby Brissett in what could be his final game for the Browns.
The Bucs are now 5-6 for the season and despite such a dismal season so far; they sit at the top of the NFC South courtesy of a very lopsided division. Brady himself has massively underperformed this season and hasn’t brought his team home like on numerous other occasions. He is finding it difficult to spot teammates for a down and his accuracy hasn’t been at par.
Bayless took to social media to put light on this. He expressed his disappointment in the Bucs and Brady. He said that the Bucs should’ve won the game easily by two touchdowns but instead; they let the opposition creep into the match. He added that the team, despite their chances of making it to the playoffs, doesn’t look like a championship-winning team at all.
“So disappointed in Brady and the Bucs. They should’ve won this game by a couple of touchdowns. Only silver lining: At 5-6 they’re still leading the NFL’s worst division. But this team shows no championship energy or urgency,” Bayless said.
Can Tom Brady put life back into the lifeless Bucs?
Despite playing very average football, the Bucs sit at the top of the NFC South division with a 5-6 record for the season. They have a game’s edge over the Falcons, who sit at the No.2 spot. This performance will surely take them to the playoffs but when the knockout arrives, the Bucs will once again solely depend on Brady to pull them out and if he underperforms, the Bucs are doomed.
Hence, Brady will have to fasten his belts and carry the Bucs ahead as the business end of the tournament gets closer with each passing day, and if anyone can peak at the right time, it is Tom Brady.
