“That clinch walk wouldn’t have made it” Seahawks WR DK Metcalf was carted off the field for a bathroom break

DK Metcalf did something unusual in the Seahawks-Lions NFL week 4 matchup. The WR called the cart for a ride to the rest-room as he wanted to take a bathroom break.

There have been numerous instances of players using the cart to use the restroom but this is the first time it has happened this season.

Seahawks fans got agitated when they saw the cart as they thought DK Metcalf has been injured and needs to be transported off the field, but it was just nature’s call.

DK Metcalf was sitting on the side of the cart and looked pretty comfortable, the Seahawks WR came back on the same cart and joined the team.

Shortly after Metcalf’s departure to the restroom, the mystery was cleared by the on-field reporter who said that it was not an injury but just a bathroom break.

The Seahawks went on to win the game against the Lions with a score of 48-45 and DK Metcalf had his best game of the season so far. The WR caught 7 catches for 149 yards before going out for a break but didn’t score any after coming back onto the field.

After the game, DK Metcalf took notice of the tweets that were going viral on Twitter and decided to clarify things before they went out of hand.

DK Metcalf stated “That clinch walk wouldn’t have made it” in a tweet reply to TSN sports. Apparently, it was an emergency and Metcalf had no option but to opt for the services of the cart.

There have been growing rants about players rushing off to the washroom while the game is still going on. This is not professional behaviour and they could have waited until half-time, but we don’t know how badly Metcalf wanted to rush off to the washroom and can’t say anything about it.

Though carts are often used for serious injuries to players, this was one of those rare cases in the NFL where the cart was called to ride a player to the restroom.
