The Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had a roller coaster of a 2022 NFL regular season. From being one of the MVP candidates earlier in the season to being unable to even finish the season as the starting quarterback for the Dolphins, a true shame for the game of football. The fall didn’t happen due to a decrease in talent but due to multiple head injuries, he suffered throughout this season.

Many people suggested Tua to retire from the sport after he suffered a third concussion during their game against the Green Bay Packers on Christmas Day. Furthermore, Tua missing the rest of the season including a playoff game after that concussion led to many rumors about him quitting the sport. However, Tua’s parents, Diane Tagovailoa and Galu Tagovailoa have now shared an important update about the third-year quarterback’s health.

On Wednesday, Tua’s parents attended an event hosted by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame where they revealed that their son will be back playing football next season. “No, he comes back,” Galu told KHON2 News in Honolulu. “That’s their guy. They love him. We love them and what they’re doing and how they are helping with his recovery and trying to get him back.

Diane and Galu Tagovailoa also shared that their son is still going through the concussion protocol but he’s getting better. They also thanked the whole Miami organization for the way they treated the whole situation.

“He’s doing fine,” Galu Tagovailoa said. “He’s happy and that’s the most important thing, right, as parents, he’s still going through his protocol, but we’re grateful for them, too. Very thankful for Miami. The organization. The owner, Grier as a GM, and head coach Mike. That guy’s special.”

However, the Miami-based franchise is being linked with the 7-time Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady, who will hit free agency this off-season after spending three years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Dolphins already once tried to tamper with the 15-time Pro Bowler when he was still under contract with the New England Patriots and got heavily fined for it. Furthermore, they also lost their first-round draft pick as a punishment for trying to tamper with Tom Brady’s contract.

Nevertheless, it wouldn’t be a bad year for Tagovailoa if he can rest for one year and learn under one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever throw a spiral. But Tom Brady starting at QB for the Dolphins would be more of Brady’s choice than Miami’s and Brady still hasn’t decided about his future in the league.
