The New York Jets benched their star quarterback Zach Wilson last week and started Mike White instead of him and it looks like the move has had an overall positive impact all over the team. Against the Chicago Bears, White torched 315 yards passing and three touchdowns, leading the team to an easy 31-10 victory. As a result, the Jets are now 7-4 for the season and are just 1 and 2 games behind the Dolphins and the Bills respectively in the AFC East division.

White’s teammates were thrilled after the victory and it was visible that his inclusion has brought a positive impact on the team. They even celebrated in front of a sulking Wilson, speaking volumes about their relationship with Wilson. The young quarterback had attitude issues with the team and it looked like everyone wanted him out.

Ahead of the Vikings game this week, the team was seen rocking ‘Mike White t-shirts’. This can be seen as their support for Mike White, given the positive impact he has had on the team right from Day 1. On the contrary, it could also be seen as the team giving it back to Wilson. Many slammed the team while some called out Wilson for his behavior.

Wilson is still with the Jets and is traveling everywhere they go hence donning Mike White’s t-shirts just a game after Wilson was benched can be interpreted as ‘disrespectful’.

The Jets have done well this season and have a great chance to go deep in the league. They are currently third in the AFC East division and have a 7-4 record for the season. They did pretty well with White leading the team in the last game and will look to carry the momentum forward against the Vikings this week. They will then face the Bills in a mammoth clash the following week.
