Tyreek Hill has Kevin Fitzgibbons covered. The wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins has given his word to the videographer who was suspended and had his game credentials revoked by the NFL for helping Hill celebrate his touchdown in Week 6 of the season in the team’s 42-21 win over the Carolina Panthers.

Kevin Fitzgibbons, who is a 20-year-old student at the University of Miami, faced disciplinary action from the league after he gave his phone to Tyreek Hill to use to celebrate his touchdown. Hill scored against the Panthers in Week 6 and as soon as he finished the play, he saw Fitzgibbons recording with his phone and immediately borrowed it before recording himself doing a backflip. While the fans loved the celebration and enjoyed it, the NFL was not as happy.

Kevin Fitzgibbons said in a video he posted via X,

One of the best moments of my life turned upside-down in a matter of seconds. The NFL then let me know I would be suspended for the remainder of the season, and possibly for good. They said regardless if I knew the celebration was coming or not, I still had to be disciplined and that I shouldn't have jumped on the sidelines after the play.

Tyreek Hill intends to work with Kevin Fitzgibbons on other projects in the near future

The videographer was visibly excited when he saw Tyreek Hill use his phone to record his celebration and began to jump on the sidelines after the play. His video was reposted by Hill and now has nearly 5 million views on social media.

The Dolphins’ receiver came to the rescue of Fitzgibbons and told this to reporters in the wake of the videographer’s statement.

Me and K-Fitz, we've got a long history together...I told him I was going to cover his salary, whatever the NFL was going to pay him or whatever. I told him I was going to make sure that I do what's right and take care of you, make sure you're not out of a job.

In addition to this, Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus has employed the videographer as a freelancer.

ESPN‘s Marcel Louis-Jacques reported that Fitzgibbons is still an employee of the NFL and that he is facing a temporary suspension. His game access has been revoked owing to “violations of NFL policy” but that “he is welcome and encouraged to participate in any number of other projects involving off-field league events as well as personal projects with players.”

Props to Tyreek Hill for ensuring Kevin Fitzgibbons does not lose money or suffer any loss due to the NFL’s decision to restrict the amount of fun that players can have following TDs.
