Just because Trevon Diggs got sidelined this season, doesn’t mean he ain’t following up with Dallas Cowboys progress. Due to his torn ACL, the Cowboys cornerback hasn’t been much help for the team, but he sure is doing his part of hyping them up.

As the Cowboys improved themselves at 6-3, after the dominating victory over the New York Giants at 49-17, Diggs voiced high hopes for the Super Bowl. The CB took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) account, reposting Dez Bryant’s tweet of appreciating Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb in Week 10, with the caption, “We going to the bowl.

After logging four tackles, three pass deflections and one interception in just two games, Diggs sustained a torn ACL injury at the beginning of this season, in September. As a crucial part of the Cowboys’ victories, having Diggs sidelines was a huge loss for the team.

Since Diggs got injured after playing just two games this season, the Cowboys have gone 4-3, though they still remain a strong contender in the NFC East division. And as they outlasted their divisional rival, Giants who fell onto a 2-8, it reflects the team’s ability to rank among the top contenders in the league.

Dallas is ranked second, right below the Philadelphia Eagles at 8-1, who beat them by 28-23 in Week 9. Though the team has plenty of potential to reach the Super Bowl, they haven’t actually proven it by beating a team with a winning record.

Fan reactions to Trevon Diggs’ comment on Cowboys to ‘the Bowl’

Despite Dallas being ranked among the top contenders, fans believe otherwise. As they bashed the cornerback Diggs for his declaration of reaching the Super Bowl, saying “It’s gonna come back and bite you!

Fans lay points similar to Smith’s that the Cowboys haven’t beaten any good teams so far. Many are even mocking Diggs’ mention of “Bowl” and referring to it as “fiesta bowl,” “toilet bowl” and “tostitos bowl.”

Fans are definitely not happy with the confidence Cowboys’ cornerback presented on social media, after beating a team with a record of 2-7. One fan even commented, “Beat the worst team in the league since 2012 and you going to the bowl now,” while another wrote, “After beating a terrible Giants team.”
