Twitter Furious At Roger Goodell’s Decision Of Not Releasing Further Emails To The Public

There is a gut feeling of every NFL fan that they haven’t really seen the end of the controversy that has been raking up the entire roster after the investigation into the Washington Football Team was launched. With Jon Gruden stepping down from his coaching position, the erstwhile Las Vegas Raiders quoted that the truth will come out and that poured further fuel into the fire.

NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell averred the fact that the NFL is not going to release the results of its investigation into the workplace culture at the Washington Football Team, citing the anonymity of the people who came forward for the investigation needs to be protected at all cost given the high risks that come along with the job.

This is what Lisa Banks had to say that was contradictory to what Roger Goodell said

However, there was an instant contradiction from one of the representatives of the employees who were a part of the investigation. Lisa Banks tweeted, “I represent 40 former employees of the WFT who participated in the investigation. Goodell’s statement is false.” Goodell’s exact words after meeting the NFL owners were, “We’re very conscious of making sure we’re protecting those who came forward.”

The investigation caught fire of the media and the public after the emails reeking of misogyny and homophobia of Jon Gruden and other NFL top brass came to the limelight. It was startling to witness that once the stalwarts of the sport had such hideous truths concealed underneath their polished surfaces. However, calls for divulging any more of these emails have been snubbed by Goodell.

On Tuesday, two erstwhile incumbents of the Washington Football Team came to the hotel where the owners were rendezvousing with facsimiles of the letters that was sent to the apex body of the sport to release further mails to the public. There were repeated mentions of Daniel Snyder who has no longer been a part of the team after the investigation was concluded. Snyder’s wife, Tanya has been running the operations for the team ever since the renouncement of Daniel Snyder.

The team has been fined $10 million in the wake of the devastating inquest that led to catastrophic revelations. Goodell said, “I do think he’s been held accountable. More importantly, steps were put in place to make sure it doesn’t happen again.” Goodell confirmed that the NFL will be cooperating by all means with a congressional inquiry.
