The Week 4 matchup between the Detroit Lions and the Seattle Seahawks will be a competitive game between two of the more consistent teams in the NFL. The Hawks enter with the hope of keeping their undefeated streak going while Dan Campbell and the Lions will look to win their second straight game.
The Lions won last week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals by a one-score game margin. The team’s offense remained scoreless in the second half of the game but thanks to the team’s solid defense, they were able to hold off Kyler Murray and the offense.
The Seahawks are coming off a dominant win against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3. Due to the absence of Tua Tagovailoa, Miami’s offense struggled and failed to put up points on the board. This is why despite Geno Smith‘s struggles on offense having thrown one touchdown and two interceptions, Seattle managed to weather the storm.
The Week 4 matchup between these two teams will be an interesting game to watch. Apart from Week 3, all of the Seahawks’ wins have been by a narrow margin. But the team cannot be counted out as it travels to Ford Field to face the Lions. The stakes are high but it is nothing that Geno Smith cannot pull off.

Why can the Detroit Lions win?
The Lions have home-field advantage which will work in their favor. The team is seasoned and experienced on offense and defense. Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown have great chemistry on offense. The quarterback has a passer rating of 89.3 with 3107 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. His record against the Seahawks is 5-6. On Monday night, Goff will hope to tie things up with a win.
Another reason they can win is the Seahawks’ defense. 3 of their starters are questionable for Monday Night’s game while 3 are listed as out. The Lions’ defense is solid and if there is anyone that can hold off DK Metcalf, it would be the men in blue and grey. They have managed to keep their opponents to under 18 points a game.
Why can the Seattle Seahawks win?
The Seahawks’ offense has proved to be consistent. The chemistry between Geno Smith, Tyler Lockett, and DK Metcalf has continued to develop and it is visible on the field. History is in their favor as Seattle has beaten Detroit in the last six of their matchups. The last two losses came at Ford Field.
Mike MacDonald will look to continue this winning tradition. Despite the team being short-staffed on defense, the Seahawks should not be counted out. If anything, Monday night’s game will be yet another opportunity for Geno Smith to prove the critics wrong.
