Apart from celebrating New York Rangers‘ 5-1 win over Vegas Golden Knights, the fans got one more thing to cheer on. On Wednesday, a Rangers fan caught the attention of National TV at a perfectly wrong time.

The fan was crossing over the seats with a beer in his hands when he failed to maneuver a classic trick of drinking beer. In the video caught by TNT, the fan was shown wearing a Martin St. Louis jersey while holding a Michelob Ultra. He tried tossing back his bear while standing on a set of stairs at T-Mobile Arena.

The result? He failed in a sleeky way as his beer came spouting out of his mouth. To cover up his blunder, the Rangers fan used the rest of his drink in a classic way, pouring it over his head. Unfortunately, he was already caught in the camera, as a Tweet caption said, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas unless you do it at a hockey game on national TV”.

Despite his failed performance, he gathered the attention of his fellow Rangers fans as they kept cheering on him. To outdo his previous failed attempt, he kept dancing and pumping his fist in the air. But who can complain? It’s your favorite team’s win, so you got to celebrate it to your heart’s content.

This incident reminded us of the US Open beer-chugging sensation, Megan Lucky. Though this Rangers fan has nothing to do with her, last year’s video went viral over social channels as Megan downed a brewski in her seat. She further kept her tradition alive at this year’s tournament as she said, “seized the moment”, chugging her beer on cameras, as per NyPost.com.

This win determined the New York Rangers score at 13-10-5 whereas, the Vegas Golden Knights stand at 19-8-1. Prior to defeating the St. Louis Blues on Monday, the Rangers were 5 of 6 in their game. This was their 2nd straight win in a week. They’ll next be welcoming the Stanley Cup Champions in Denver on Friday.

The Rangers led the game through puck battles, physical struggles, points, and goals. The team’s alternate captain and winger Artemi Panarin got his 600th and 601st NHL career assists in the game. His presence gives an edge to the Rangers, as he is assessed as one of the best puck-passers in the league.

Rangers head coach Gerard Gallant’s roster set-up paid back as the line held strong with players like Panarin, Kaapo Kakko, Filip Chytil, Alexis Lafreniere, and Mika Zibanejad. Mika said, “They played great”. “Worked hard, did little things. [Kakko and Lafreniere] got rewarded. It was nice see.”
