Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman snatched the spotlight as he successfully stopped 26 shots from Sabres, marking his 2nd consecutive shutout in NHL with the team. Not only Swayman, but David Pastrnak also made his career-high with his team-leading 48th goal.

During the first few shots, Patrice Bergeron scored 2 assists with only 15 seconds in the period, helping the Bruins score their first 3 shots. KeyBank’s center got pretty heated up Sunday as the Bruins and Sabres clashed, although the latter proved to be an easy opponent.

Bruins defenceman Connor Clifton told NESN, “We knew we had one more (game) and it would have been a good road trip if we got the win, and we’re excited to go home”. “We came out with a lot of jam. It was a great game.”

Bruins center Charlie Coyle praised Sawyman for his dashing saves, stating, “He’s a great goaltender. We’re so lucky to have the goaltenders that we do”. “(Swayman) has been huge. We all know what (Linus Ullmark) has meant to us, but I think Sway flies under the radar.

Garnet Hathaway doubled the team’s lead with his 2nd goal, chipping in Jakub Zboril’s long pass. Coach Jim Montogmery praised the play of Zboril saying, “I thought Zboril was excellent. He played with confidence and he was very assertive, offensively and defensively”.

In the past 2 games, the Bruins couldn’t snatch victory as they fell prey to their opponents. Regardless of their momentary downfall, Montgomery stated confidently that they will take things slow, waiting for the curtains to unfold. Undoubtedly, the Bruins are one of the top teams in the NHL, and with new additions, they have marked themselves as wary opponents.
