WWE will be in Saudi Arabia next week for its upcoming Night of Champions PLE on June 27. The evening in Riyadh will feature six matches, two of which were made official on this week’s SmackDown itself. First off, Ricky Saints will challenge Trick Williams for the United States title after winning a No. 1 contenders match.

Saints defeated Carmelo Hayes after using the exposed turnbuckle to his advantage. ‘The Absolute One’ is now set to make his WWE premium live event debut on the main roster. The former AEW star, however, has his work cut out in the form of a formidable Trick Williams. The latter won the US title in his WrestleMania debut this year.

Williams has since defended it successfully against the likes of Sami Zayn and Carmelo Hayes. ‘The Anointed One’ is now set for a new challenge with Ricky Saints staring at his breakout moment in WWE. On the other hand, the women’s United States Championship is also set to be defended on a WWE PLE for the very first time next Saturday.

Tiffany Stratton addressed recent Jade Cargill‘s comments about her on SmackDown by saying that ‘The Storm’ was just desperate to get some gold around her waist. ‘The Buff Barbie’ then agreed to put her women’s United States title on the line against Cargill at Night of Champions. Stratton also took a shot at Cargill’s alliance with B-Fab and Michin, mocking them as Cargill’s “lousy sidekicks.”

The former US gymnast affirmed she doesn’t need any of that to get her job done. Just as she was saying it, Chelsea Green interrupted the reigning women’s US champ. The latter didn’t take too kindly to Green trying to act friendly with her all of a sudden now. Stratton straight up told ‘The Hot Mess’ that she didn’t need her help at all.

It would be interesting to see if ‘The Center of the Universe’ drops the US title to Cargill, given that it’s rumored the former AEW TBS Champion is expected to face Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam. WWE could put the belt on Cargill and have her feud with Flair over it to elevate that title up to a certain level, which would be akin to what Becky Lynch has done for the women’s Intercontinental title.

How does the updated Night of Champions match card look like?

The finals of the King of the Ring and the Queen of the Ring tournaments are set following this week’s SmackDown. On the men’s side, Jey Uso will take on Oba Femi for the crown at Night of Champions. It’s quite possible that Brock Lesnar ends up screwing Femi over in Riyadh, allowing Uso to become the 2026 King of the Ring.

‘The Yeet Man’ could then challenge the winner of Cody Rhodes vs. Sami Zayn vs. Gunther from Night of Champions at SummerSlam. As for the women’s crown, Liv Morgan will look to put away Iyo Sky. However, it was believed internally that ‘The Genius of the Sky’ would take the crown and then go after Morgan’s title at the Biggest Party of the Summer.

In what could be a trilogy-settling match at Night of Champions, Seth Rollins will square off with Bron Breakker inside a steel cage. They have been feuding for a long time now. With the former stablemates holding one win apiece over each other, their upcoming showdown will break the deadlock.

It also needs to be mentioned that Roman Reigns whispered in Jacob Fatu‘s ear on Raw this past Monday about destroying Rollins as his next assignment. Will the ‘Samoan Werewolf’ cost the 6-time world champion against Breakker to potentially set up a match with Rollins at SummerSlam? It remains to be seen.
