Former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines continues to be the center of attention. The 23-year-old has emerged as one of the top women across the country for her fight against the inclusion of trans athletes in women’s sports. While many have come along to support her there were some who were not pleased with her. Some of them were at the San Francisco State University where they ambushed her.
In a recent interview with Outkick, Gaines admitted that she was scared by the angry mob. She would call them out in a swift response and say that their punches did not hurt her.
“Listening to what they were chanting, what they wanted to do to me, how they were going to injure me and kill me and hurt me and all those different things, I did fear for my life,” the ex-college athlete said. However, she was not done there. “But truthfully, their punches don’t hurt that bad which is a pretty telling. Men in dresses, I’m sorry your punches just don’t hurt,” she further added.
Gaines had a similar type of experience recently when she attended the “Real Women’s Day” celebration at Penn University. Two individuals were detained by the officers on site when she was delivering her speech. One of them was arrested for poor conduct during the event. In a video circulation on X, a person wearing a face mask could be seen throwing stuff off a table.
Riley Gaines brutally slams Rep. Dave Considine following his speech regarding trans athlete issue in Wisconsin Assembly
One of the major issues this year regarding women has been the inclusion of transgender athletes in women’s sports. Following her experience against Lia Thomas, Riley Gaines took on a fight to ensure other athletes did not face a similar situation she had to. Several athletes have since come forward and expressed their displeasure in competing against trans athletes. Recently Rep. Dave Considine had some bold words regarding this issue in the Wisconsin Assembly.
The official claimed that if a trans athlete beats him in a sporting event then it means he “needs to work harder”. He would further claim that the reason why biological males are not dominating women’s sports is because they grew up with privilege. The official also added that parents who are upset about their daughter losing their spot to biological male are “just being selfish”.
Gaines would soon across this video. She would brutally call out the Rep. in her X (now called Twitter) post. “That’s like someone saying to Rep Considine ‘If you want to grow hair on that bald, shiny head of yours, then just grow hair.”
Several states have already passed bills or made laws that have barred the entry of biological males from women’s sports. This move is likely to reach other states across the country soon as the movement develops at a rapid speed.
