Love is a tie that binds. Four-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles is well and truly set to get hitched to NFL star Jonathan Owens. Biles was snapped hosting a Cloud 9-themed bridal shower in Houston, Texas over the weekend.
The 26-year-old gymnast modeled a white gown with decorated embroidery. A month ago, she was seen holding her bachelorette party in Belize with her close friends. The couple got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2022. For the bridal shower, she was seen wearing a pair of white sandal heels.
As for jewelry, she would display her white pearl earrings and flaunt her three-carat diamond ring. The luxurious event which was held at The Juliana was adorned with white balloons while the guests enjoyed their flutes of champagne.
She was also spotted taking pictures with her grandmother, Nellie Biles. Simone who calls her mother was adopted and raised by her. A few months ago, she revealed that she and Owens had purchased land together to build their fantasy castle.
The pair got in touch with each other through social media. Things would escalate quickly after that. Major details about their wedding have been kept a secret for now. It has been reported that Biles has already saved her date and venue

With the happy couple all set to tie the knot, how did the pair meet each other? It all started in 2020 after Biles made the first move through messages. She said that when she saw him, she was awestruck and decided to start a conversation. With Owens present in Houston at that time, they decided to meet and started hanging out Biles added.
In her professional life, Simone Biles has continued to reach new heights. Her seven gold medals as a gymnast tie her up with Shannon Miller for the most by a gymnast. She is also the most decorated gymnast in the history of the World Gymnastics World Championships with 25 medals to her name. In 2022, she was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom by US President Joe Biden.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Owens plays the position of safety in NFL. After going undrafted in 2018, he joined the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent. Following an injury-prone season, he was signed for the Houston Texans, practice squad.
He was called up to the main roster in 2019 but was waived back to the practice squad two days later in November. Ever since that, Owens has made his way back and forth through the active and practice squad.
