Kansas City Chiefs fans love cheering for their homeboys, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce—whether it’s on game day or during training camp. Some fans even line up outside the venue a day before the event. Unfortunately, the Chiefs will no longer allow fans to enter the venue complex until daybreak.
According to Independent Chiefs content creator Farzin Vousoughian:
Security just informed fans that effective this week (rest of camp), no one is allowed to line up before 5 am and there will be signs to enforce that. Some fans got in line before midnight.

The Chiefs hosted the Los Angeles Rams on August 16. Some fans arrived at Arrowhead Stadium the day prior.

Hosting World Cup matches was a dream come true for the Hunt family
The 2026 Soccer World Cup arrived on US soil, and Kansas City was among the chosen few to host games. They had to alter Arrowhead Stadium’s name for the duration of the tournament, but it was a historic moment that the club’s founding father, Lamar Hunt, had dreamt of.

Chiefs owner and CEO Clark Hunt said during halftime at the preseason opener:
It obviously respects the history and legacy of Arrowhead, both from an external and internal architecture standpoint. But at the same time, it’s modern, and it’s a facility that will last 50 or 60 years and really be a great asset for everybody in the region.
The Rams game was the 42nd charity game in Chiefs franchise history. These games have raised around $1.4M over the last three years for the Jackson County CASA.

Once the WC ended, the name Arrowhead was reinstated. However, within a few years, the Chiefs will relocate from their current Kansas City home to the state of Kansas.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid gave an update on what the team must improve on before their second preseason game
The Chiefs handed debuts to quarterbacks Justin Fields and Garrett Nussmeier, running back Emari Demercado, Emmett Johnson, Jaydn Ott, and EJ Smith, and wide receivers Cyrus Allen, Andrew Armstrong, Jacob De Jesus, Omari Evans, and Jeff Caldwell. The Chiefs lost the game, but there were noteworthy performances from the newcomers.
Unfortunately, the Chiefs also struggled with conceding unnecessary penalties. According to NFL stats, the Chiefs gave away 12 penalties on the night.
“Obviously, the five holding calls and the five illegal-procedure penalties: you can’t have those. You have to be more disciplined than that, so we go back and keep stressing that,” Andy Reid revealed.
Andy Reid says the high number of penalties in Saturday’s game comes down to discipline.

Reid specifically criticized the offensive line. The Chiefs have yet to figure out who their starting tackle is. Last year they rotated between Jaylon Moore and Kingsley Suamataia. In the offseason, the Chiefs added Kahlil Benson to the mix. Benson received a lot of praise at camp and could challenge both Moore and Suamataia for the starting tackle position.
The Chiefs still have two preseason games on their schedule. In week two, they travel to Tampa Bay to play the Buccaneers, and for their final game, KC returns to Arrowhead to take on the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks.
