Andrew Wiggins has been performing at the best he can. Following his earlier seasons with the Golden State Warriors, Andrew has improved significantly this season. He’s been a second hand for Stephen Curry behind the first hand Draymond itself. Though he is still not the star following his other teammates who hold the limelight, but he’s not far from being so. Kaly Thompson has been absent from the line-up since the beginning of the season following his leg injury prior to the season. This season log absence of Klay definitely played a good part for Wiggins to shine across the stadium.

Talking about the teams performance coach Steve Kerr said, “It was huge, we needed all of his 32 points, and the early foul trouble with Steph it changed our rotations. What a luxury to be able to come off the bench with a guy who’s just started the first 35 games or whatever it was. Jordan has turned into just a critical player for us and he will remain to be critical with all the guys coming back coming off the bench.”

Kevin Garnett who is one of the former teammates of Andrew Wiggins speaks highly of him and his growing improvement been playing for the Golden State Warriors. Kevin has shared the court with Andrew Wiggins when they both played for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Kevin describing his ability says that Andrew is rapidly improving because of his teammate’s company that is of the level of Michael Jordan himself.

Explaining the same Kevin said, “He’s playing with the Michael Jordan of his era. The knowledge that he takes not just from Steve Kerr and that coaching staff but that pedigree of excellence that they push around there in Golden State — you can’t come in there and be less than. Those are champions in there. Those guys have won together. They’ve been in the grit. They’ve been in the foxhole together. I think it motivates him.”

It is new for Andrew himself because the fact that he was struggling, in the beginning, is now pretty confident of his play. Surrounded by championship calibre players like Stephen Curry and Draymond Green and under a coach that holds one of the best teams in the league has truly paid Wiggins what he actually needed to bring out the best from him.

Acknowledging the same Wiggins said “We’re winning. We’re top of the West. Everyone pushes each other. I’m around greatness. Being around Steve, being around Bob, being around Steph, Draymond Green, Klay, people that have won multiple championships and that ran the league for a long time. And those guys believe in me. Every day, whether it’s offensively, defensively. Offensively, they trust me with the ball. Defensively, they put me on the other team’s best player. That right there is motivating.”

Though Andrew is a little far from being called the superstar but his consistent performance will surely prove it otherwise, if he actually continues to bring what is required for the Golden State Warriors. The team has been performing one of the bests this season standing at the top of the Western Conference roster and the star himself Stephen Curry is also topping the list of MVP this season. It would be interesting to see how the outcome lies further for this fan favourite franchise.
