PUBG Mobile Pro League SA and MENA Championship Season 1: Rico Infinity Team takes the winner’s prize
Rico Infinity Team wins PMPL SA and MENA Championship Season 1
The journey of PUBG Mobile Pro League SA and MENA Championship came to an end today. The tournament was divided in League and Final stage and a whopping prize pool of $1,50,000 USD was kept for the players where Rico Infinity took the winner’s prize of $40,000. 16 teams battled to take the top 4 slots and qualify for PUBG Mobile Global Championship.
Rico Infinty Team stood at the first place by scoring 130 points and a total of 50 frags. DRS Gaming also played well to secure the second position with 127 points. Mongolian team Stalwart Esports were placed at the third spot with 109 points with 55 frags.
Following the league stage the finals took place for two days. Here are the overall standings after the second day of finals.

The first match of the day took place at the most preferred map for competitive, Erangel. It was an engaging battle between different teams at the last open playzone. Accurate grenades and perfect sprays were the key highlights of the first match.It was a head to head competition between Cryptics and NASR Esports. Cryptics won the match, however, NASR Esports stayed at the top with 23 points. DRS Gaming was kept at the third postion after they took 11 finishes and scored 21 points.
Miramar was chosen for the second map of the last day of PMPL SA and MENA Championship finals. It was a spectacular win from Rico Infinity Team as they eliminated the last player. Nigma Galaxy which was eliminated at the fifth place at the previous match made a great comeback by scoring 17 points and claiming the second place at the match with 5 frags. Trained To Kill were placed at third position with 12 points with 6 frags. TuruLoveSir from Deadeyes Guys was named as the MVP of the tournament.
The third match of PUBG Mobile Pro League SA and MENA Championship was again played at Erangel where Nigma Galaxy snatched away the chicken dinner from Rico Infinity Team. The latter team was playing impressingly well at third match obtaining 10 frags and scoring a total of 20 points. Wizzes with Vibes, the winners of PMPL SA Season 4, were placed at the third position as they scored 18 points. They also claimed 10 frags successfully.
The fourth match was played at Sanhok, the rain forest map which saw the dominance of Rico Infinity team. The team looked confident enough to grab the champions title. Ruthless Aggressive Warriors scored 22 points and 12 frags to secure the second position whereas Cryptics were placed at the third spot. The fifth and final match was won by DRS Gaming, although FATE Esports were quite dominating.
