On the latest episode of SmackDown, Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline may have crossed the line. The new version of the faction brutally attacked Paul Heyman after the latter refused to acknowledge Sikoa. The Wiseman remained loyal to his Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, and suffered the consequences. With that said, it might be time for the former Undisputed Champion to return.
The past two weeks have been pivotal in the Bloodline storyline. Not only has Sikoa confirmed his intentions to replace Reigns, he has also brought in ‘dangerous’ members to the group. Before returning to WWE, the Head of the Table must come up with a plan to fight and reclaim his position. More importantly, he needs to get the band back together.
At the moment, Jey Uso is excelling in his ‘main event’ role on Monday Night Raw. Meanwhile, Jimmy Uso has been out of action since he was removed from The Bloodline by Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga. As for the YEET Master, his story lies with his family, and he will have to eventually return to it in the foreseeable future. Therefore, Reigns would have to mend his relationship with his former right-hand man to pursue him back.
Once the pieces fall into place, a faction war is imminent. Similar to the infamous nWo rivalry between the OG and Wolfpac, the right to be termed the only Bloodline of the family will be on the line. As such, the culmination of the feud can take place inside a WarGames Match this coming November at Survivor Series.
The stipulation would require the addition of other characters related to the storyline, including Sami Zayn and The Rock. Speaking of the latter, there is no ruling out that he could be behind the new changes in the faction. Nevertheless, only time will tell in which direction the storyline progresses following last night’s shocking ending.
Roman Reigns’ return might be delayed due to unfortunate passing of father
While The Tribal Chief returning to WWE is an inevitability, he might not be returning anytime soon. Unfortunately, Sikoa Anoa’i, father of Roman Reigns and Hall of Famer, passed away on June 25. The late Samoan was looked upon by many in the wrestling world, including his family members.
Due to the unforeseen circumstances, Reigns’ comeback might be pushed back. Although there are no concrete rumors regarding the matter, speculation suggests that The Tribal Chief will look to extend his leave of absence. On the latest episode of SmackDown, WWE paid tribute by showing a video package honoring the legacy of Sika.
One-half of The Wild Samoans, he was a huge supporter of his son’s wrestling career. In fact, he was in attendance for some of Reigns’ biggest moments. Most notably, Sika, alongside Afa, acknowledged the Head of the Table at Hell in a Cell 2020 following his win over Jey Uso. Needless to say, the Bloodline legend will be dearly missed by those in the wrestling community.
