Five-time World Champion compares John Cena’s invincible WWE arc to Chiefs’ NFL fan fatigue
Seth Rollins has likened Kansas City Chiefs' perceived fan fatigue to John Cena's decade-long top-of-the-foodchain era in WWE.

As John Cena himself alluded to in his Raw promo this week, he won a lot while being WWE’s poster boy from 2005 to 2014. That’s how the term “Super Cena” was coined by the fans who’ve had enough of his near-invincible arc. Seth Rollins recently told Rich Eisen on his show that the Kansas City Chiefs‘ NFL trajectory is the same as Cena’s.
Eisen asked Rollins the pro-wrestling equivalent of Chiefs’ ongoing fan fatigue. The Visionary named Cena right off the bat. Seth also noted how the Peacemaker star recently turned heel for the first time since 2003. When John cosplayed a rapper disguised as the Dr. of Thuganomics, he got cheered for a while, but the following decade was all sunshine and rainbows.
John raking up high-profile wins coupled with umpteen championship glories started aching the WWE Universe, and they’d often boo him out of the arenas consequently. The Andy Reid-coached Chiefs are no different. They were jockeying to defy the playoff curse, failing to get through it until 2017. However, they’ve competed in five Super Bowls since 2019, winning thrice in the meantime.
The Philadelphia Eagles denied the Clark Hunt-owned side a history-making three-peat this year. With the Chiefs’ burgeoning stranglehold in the NFL, they’re already facing the music of a fatigued American football fanbase. In that way, they’re on the verge of becoming the John Cena version of the NFL.
Seth Rollins unfazed by his rumored WrestleMania 41 match’s placing
Outside of Seth Rollins doing a little side quest this Monday for Good Morning Football by being their guest host, he has a bigger fish to fry. While breaking it down on Front Office Sports, the five-time WWE Champion claimed that his inevitable WrestleMania clash with Roman Reigns and CM Punk doesn’t necessarily need to headline either night.

There’s enough history between the aforementioned names to make whatever they’re about to do must-see. Reigns would definitely want to get his lick back on Seth. The latter dramatically turning his back on Reigns at WrestleMania XL to lure The OTC into cracking him with a steel chair was a masterstroke.
When asked if it’s important to main event #WrestleMania 41, Seth Rollins says it’s not important:

“I don’t think it’s terribly important where it [v Punk v Reigns] sits on the card. Because to be honest with you, you just look at the names in that match and it’s a main event.… pic.twitter.com/ujUL0AuwhQ
It allowed Roman’s then-rival, Cody Rhodes, to finish his story. But that’s not it for Reigns. His special counsel, Paul Heyman, owes an unacknowledged favor to CM Punk. The Second City Saint is someone who’s been as close to Heyman as Reigns, if not more.
Before Roman wrecked Punk inside the steel cage on Raw last week, Paul was caught comforting The Best in the World. Heyman might have some explaining to do to his Tribal Chief about it. Each one of them will be in the same ring on SmackDown in Bologna, virtually assuring some much-needed fireworks.
John Cena has broken up with the WWE Universe
This past Monday on Raw, John Cena was jeered in Brussels. He went on to double down on the negative reaction and claimed that he’s been subject to an abusive relationship with the WWE Universe. An innocent kid in the crowd was still reluctant to dismiss his idol.

However, little did he know that Cena was going to dump him as well along with thousands in attendance. Cody Rhodes, the victim of Cena’s heel turn, cut the latter off. The Undisputed WWE Champion was hopeful of an explanation from The Cenation Leader.
However, The Franchise Player pulled off a rhetoric invective that only miffed the audience. Rhodes eventually told John to ditch his “whiny bit*h” gimmick before their WrestleMania 41 clash. The Rock has yet to be acknowledged in the feud, which seems all but imminent.
