Shubman Gill thinks THIS Indian legend’s voice is perfect for Venom in Hindi & Punjabi versions of Spider-Man
Ahead of the trailer launch event in Mumbai, he was asked whose voice will be perfect for the character of Venom, to which Gill, with some thought, mentioned his idol's name.

India’s star youngster Shubman Gill has made India proud with his batting and now, he has lent his voice to the Hindi and Punjabi versions of the animated sequel of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse which will be released on June 1, a day ahead of its global release. He voiced the character of Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar.
Ahead of the trailer launch event in Mumbai, he was asked whose voice will be perfect for the character of Venom, to which Gill, with some thought, mentioned his idol’s name. “Virat (Kohli) bhai,” he said with a smile to News18. And when the 23-year-old was asked another cricketer’s name who can give voice to the lead version of Spider-Man, Gill’s answer was Ishan Kishan, with whom he has opened for the Men in Blue.
And on his dubbing experience, Gill said: “I think it was very exciting, what I did there. I think Punjabi was a little more fun for me and Hindi was a great experience. I have not done any dubbing before this. Had great fun.”

Ahead of the trailer launch, Gill was seen in the iconic Spider-Man pose on top of the car as he reached at Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse trailer launch. In a viral video, Gill could be seen climbing up on the car, crouching down on one knee in Spider-Man’s pose. Later, he also gave a web-swinging pose.

The Punjab-born batsman is currently participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he represents the table toppers Gujarat Titans (GT). In the 13 matches, Gill collected 576 runs at a strike rate of 146.19, including a brilliant century and four half-centuries.
