According to reports from Page Six and US Weekly, Swift is eyeing a two-part wedding—the first leg of the ceremony is rumored to happen in New York, while the second part will happen in London, England. But there’s one question everyone wants answered: Will Swift and Kelce sign a prenup before their big day?

They might, according to Michael Babcock of TMZ. Speaking with ‘Extra,’ Babcock stressed that it’s all about location, location, location. Babcock said:

They both have a number of different properties, houses across the country worth millions and millions of dollars. Where you choose to have the prenup done is almost as important as what is actually in the prenuptial agreement.

Swift is the richest female musician in the world, with an estimated worth of at least $2 billion, while Kelce’s estimated worth is between $70 million and $90 million.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s prenup news receives backlash

TMZ reports that six states are linked to the pair—Rhode Island, Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee, New York, and California—since each has its own prenup laws and agreements typically establish jurisdiction. California is reportedly out, and Rhode Island seems the strongest choice given Swift’s billionaire status.

New York is at the bottom of the list because its judges scrutinize prenups aggressively and have been known to invalidate them.
