The top half of the draw will be headlined by World No.4 Stefanos Tsitsipas. He will be up against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the opening round and then will face the winner of Lloyd Harris vs Ilya Ivashka in the Round of 16. The Greek is drawn opposite 8th seed Nikoloz Basilashvili who opens against Mackenzie McDonald. The Georgian will face either David Goffin or Alex de Minaur in the second round if he topples McDonald.

He will then face either Italian youngster Lorenzo Musetti or in form Mikael Ymer. 5th seed Denis Shapovalov will be up against a qualifier in the opener and then could face either a qualifier or Botic van de Zandschulp in the Round of 16. First Semi-Final Prediction: Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Denis Shapovalov

Bottom Half

Andrey Rublev
Andrey Rublev

Defending champion Andrey Rublev will start his title defense against a qualifier and then will face either Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech or Soonwoo Kwoon in the second round. Rublev hasn’t been in the best form off late and a tough draw in Rotterdam will not help him either. He is drawn opposite fellow Russian Aslan Karatsev who opens against home favorite Tallon Griekspoor. In form Filip Krajinovic and last year’s finalist, Marton Fucsovics are also in the bottom quarter.

Third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime will take on a qualifier in the first round but has a tough road ahead. He will then take on 3-time grand slam Andy Murray or Alexander Bublik in the second round. 6th seed Cameron Norrie will take on Ugo Humbert in a thrilling first-round match with the winner facing either Karen Khachanov or Alexei Popyrin in the Round of 16.

Second Semi-Final Prediction: Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Andrey Rublev

Semifinals

Felix Auger Aliassime

In the first semifinal, Stefanos Tsitsipas will lock horns against Denis Shapovalov. Tsitsipas is the favorite to win the tournament but Shapovalov showed everyone in the Australian Open what he brings to the court. Expect a thriller with Tsitsipas making it to the final.

Felix Auger-Aliassime will take on defending champion Andrey Rublev in the second semifinal. Felix came very close in beating Medvedev at the Australian Open and marked his arrival at the big stage. Rublev has a power game but his recent form just may not be enough to defeat Felix.

The final will be played between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Felix Auger-Aliassime. The Greek will start the favorite but Felix too will fancy his first career title at Rotterdam given his recent form. The top seed has won the last 5 times they’ve met and it looks likely that the same thing will be repeated this time as well.

Champion: Stefanos Tsitsipas
