Victoria Azarenka switches cities from Berlin to Bad Homburg as she comes in with confidence in her 2nd tournament on Grass this year. Azarenka made her season debut on Grass at the 2021 Berlin Open where she lost to eventual champion Liudmila Samsonova who clinched the title after having entered the main draw through the qualifiers.
Azarenka however won the Doubles event at the Berlin Open 2021 along with fellow national and upcoming star Aryna Sabalenka with the duo set to represent their country in the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics. With a title and a semi-final finish in her 1st tournament, Victoria will be fancying her chances surely this week at the Bad Homburg Open 2021.
Yuliya Hatouka has made a good start to her Grass season of 2021 as she enters the main draw at the tournament winning the only qualifier match. The qualifier was her grass debut for the season and she will come in with confidence to face fellow Belarusian in their 1st round clash.
Yulia had a poor Clay season winning only 2 of her 6 matches but was highly successful on the Indoor Hardcourts winning 18 of her 20 matches. She has been fairly busy on the WTA-125 tours as well and will be looking to carry that form this week in Germany.

Yuliya Hatouka is playing her first ever tournament on Grass and registered her first ever win in the qualifying round. She will come into the clash with a season record of 27-8 which includes her results on the WTA-125 tournaments and will face a tough battle against the veteran Azarenka who is in good form.
Victoria will come into the clash with a career Grass record of 53-23 and season record of 12-4 where she had injury issues as well. But with a successful week in Berlin, the former World No. 1 will be the favourite against the upcoming youngster Yulia.
