‘Wholesome!’ King Richard’s cast including Will Smith surprise kids at Wimbledon

King Richard– a film based on the life of Richard Williams, Serena and Venus’ father, hit the theatres last week and has received overwhelming response from fans all around the world. The film is based on the struggles Richard Williams had to face as a black citizen during the 80s and 90s when he tried to push Serena and Venus up the ranks in tennis.
The film is a huge eye-opener for everyone and draws attention to the sacrifices players and their families face. Legendary actor Will Smith is playing the role of Richard Williams. The movie also stars Aunjanue Ellis as the sisters’ mother, while Saniyya Sidney plays Venus and Demi Singleton portrays Serena.
Recently, Will Smith with a few members of the cast paid a surprise visit at the AELTC. Wimbledon is considered as the home of tennis and is the very place where both Serena and Venus dominated. The cast took a tour of Wimbledon grounds and paid a surprise visit to one of Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative groups.
Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton also explored the iconic Wimbledon gallery.
Will Smith visits the iconic Court No.1
Will Smith also paid a visit to Court No.1- the very court where Serena and Venus have won dozens on matches. He was snapped in a grey suit and was accompanied by Saniyya and Demi.
“I’m exploring my life and my experiences honestly,” Will said. “The ability to observe myself and to be able to be honest with myself and to be honest with the world is actually cultivating a deeper acting toolbox for me.”
