Former Italian tennis player Adriano Panatta makes a few daring comments in favor of his fellow countryman, Jannik Sinner. The World No. 4 has been a treat to the eyes in the latter half of the season.

The youngster managed to win the Vienna Open, followed it with an amazing run at the ATP Finals, and ended his season with a trophy for his country. After the ATP Finals loss against Novak Djokovic, he managed to take his revenge by landing not one but two blows at the Serb.

Sinner was in the limelight as he earned two points for his team in the semi-finals of the Davis Cup by beating Djokovic in two matches, making him one of the few players to do so.

He beat the World No. 1 by 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 to get a perfect start to the semifinals and continued the momentum into the doubles match to send Serbia packing.

Sinner’s recent tennis career assures the former Italian Adriano Panatta that the future of Italian tennis is safe.

I'm dying and Sinner is being born! He's an example, he's a millimeter away from Djokovic, Nole fears him.
Panatta said in a recent interview

In a recent interview, former Davis Cup winner Adriano Panatta praised the young Italian for his amazing tennis in recent tournaments. He said:

With Jannik, we are fine for ten years, he is square and mature.

Not many players have been able to bounce back from losing to Novak Djokovic when he is at match point. Sinner had 3 points and still managed to hold that serve and go on to win the game.

Panatta who previously said many negative points about Sinner, had nothing but praise for the world number 4 this time around. Italy has proved how strong they are with their players in good form.

Sinner started the year weak but managed to turn the tables around and prove to the world how capable he was. The youngster managed to rise to rank 4 which is the highest for an Italian after Panatta.

The Paris Olympics is set to take place next year and Italy looks to be in good form after a terrific win at the Davis Cup.
