Italian world No.66 Camila Giorgi seems to be in big trouble as her doctor Dr.Grillone Tecioiu reveals that the Italian has approached him for a fake vaccination certificate. A report from Vicenza Public Prosecutor’s Office had earlier suspected that she has been involved in the fake vaccination scandal. Camila is currently in –,,-A.ustralia and lost her first round against Sorana Cirstea at the Adelaide International 7-5,4-6,0-6.
The report was triggered as there was a suspicion raised by Local Health Authority 8 on the large number of covid vaccines approved by Dr.Grillone Tecioiu. He was earlier arrested by the Italian Police. Now after 10 months, the doctor has opened up.
As he quoted, “The Giorgi family has been under treatment with me for a long time. Camila Giorgi suffered from the so-called tennis elbow. Shortly before the beginning of summer, she had come asking for the possibility of obtaining false attestations of all the mandatory vaccines, as well as the Covid vaccine.”
The doctor continued upon how he regrets his actions, “I can confirm with absolute certainty that none of the vaccines against the Giorgi family have actually been administered. I have not received any payment in that case. I am deeply upset and sorry for my action.” (Source: Tennis News)

Camila Giorgi – Career so far
30-year-old Camila Giorgi had her best tennis season in 2018 as she reached the highest ranking of 26. Her current ranking is 67 and hasn’t won any WTA titles this year. In 2021, she won her only WTA-1000 tournament (Canadian Open).
Camila Giorgi’s fashion nous game was under scrutiny at the French Open this year, after she was asked to change her outfit. It was believed that the advertising logo on her outfit was a bit too big. However, Camila Giorgi decided to go ahead with the same outfit, asserting that it was the only dress she would wear on the court.
Despite the controversy surrounding her dress, Camila Giorgi had a remarkable run at the French Open, where she defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the third round. However, the Italian could not carry forward the momentum and was defeated in the very next round by Daria Kasatkina.
Her best Grand Slam run was at French Open this year where she reached the fourth round. Her Australian Open campaign ended in the third round and Wimbledon in the first round. The US Open run also ended early in the second round. She is out of Adelaide International in the first round, the first tournament she has played this season.
