“I have always said that each player has his career, each one goes as far as he can go. Rafa is one of the best in the history of our sport and of sport in general, I don’t think about trying to surpass him, but at the same time, trying to do what the Big Three has done is motivation,” he said in an interview given to a Spanish sports publication.

In my head I have it as something impossible, but at the same time I have it as something I wish I could do. That motivates me to continue training 100% every day and go to tournaments with the same illusion, with the desire with which they always went. It is a mixture between trying not to think about it but also taking it as motivation,” he continued.
