The Argentine coach joined Coco Gauff and her team in 2022. Hence, his stint with the American tennis professional was very short. But in this short while, the world saw Coco Gauff making giant strides.

Last season, she breached into the Top 10 of the WTA singles rankings in her career and continues to be an important part of the elite league of women tennis. She in Jessica Pegula found a valuable partner and the pair won the Canadian Open as a doubles pair. The all-American pair also achieved World No.1 in WTA doubles rankings.

She also became the youngest player since Maria Sharapova in 2005 to qualify for the WTA Finals in singles discipline. She with Jessica Pegula also played in the main draw of the WTA Finals 2022 in doubles discipline.

Hence, Diego Moyano’s sudden decision to depart from her team can be surprising. But if Coco Gauff wants to repeat her last year French Open heroics and even want to go a step further, she needs to find a reliable partner as a coach.
