I’m sorry you lost, but you put up a fantastic come back. You’ve only just come back from a serious knee injury, and you look fit and amazing. I’m thinking great things for you this year.A fan reacted on X formerly known as Twitter

Daria Saville loses to Magdalene Frech despite a wildcard
Daria Saville succumbed to a 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 5-7 loss to Polish World No. 69 Magdalene Frech yesterday. The Aussie’s return to the Australian Open was plagued by the issue of her wildcard.
Many believed that Daria Saville wasn’t supposed to be given a wild card at the expense of Arina Rodionova who was ranked higher.
Rodionova had hit hard on Tennis Australia’s decision, saying that it affected Saville more because of how close the tournament had been announced. Daria replied that despite the delayed call-up, she was prepared after reaching the semifinals of the Hobart International.
However, Daria was not in her best form, as she hit 14 double faults and walked off John Cain Arena shaking her head at her disappointing performance. She also threw her racquet at the ground after three consecutive double faults in the second set.
