Former World No.7 David Goffin took a dig at the new Netflix series ‘Break Point‘. He slammed Nick Kyrgios as well, while giving the statement. The 32-year-old is clearly not a fan of the documentary and said that no player will be interested in the series, like him. The series is getting mixed responses from social media, as of now.
Goffin spoke on the series without any hesitation. “I haven’t watched it yet. I am not really interested in seeing Kyrgios hanging out with his girlfriend. This series is not interesting for players or people who live on the tennis tour.”
Goffin has faced Kyrgios four times in his career. He won their last meeting, on indoor clay, in his hometown. The rest of the matches played on hard courts were won by the Australian. Nick Kyrgios is going through a tough phase now as he had to withdraw from the Australian Open 2023 due to a knee injury. The current world No.50 Goffin will face Frenchman Laurent Lokoli in his first-round match.

Nick Kyrgios is the featured player in the first episode of ‘Break Point’
The Netflix series ‘Break Point’ has Nick Kyrgios as the featured player in the first episode. The first episode is named ‘The Maverick’. Netflix gave an introduction about the first episode. It was quoted as, “Nick Kyrgios, whose reputation as tennis’s “bad boy” threatens to overshadow his talent, fights to find joy on the court at the 2022 Australian Open.“
The Australian is currently dating Costeen Hatzi. She is a social media influencer and lived in Brisbane, Australia. The 21-year-old Costeen has gained a lot of followers on her social media accounts after she mentioned a year ago she is dating Nick Kyrgios. With a degree in bachelor of psychological science, she passed out from the Australian Catholic University in 2021.
The couple were posting a series of cute pictures and videos on social media. During one of the other Q&A sessions on Instagram, Kyrgios was asked whether they are planning to have a baby. The Australian replied back stating ‘next year’ with a ring emoji as well. Kyrgios’ management later confirmed that the engagement has not taken place.
The first episode of the series, as mocked by Goffin, actually consists of a lot of behind-the-court scenes, including the couples’ hangouts.
