Ons Jabeur, the 28-year-old Tunisian professional has made quite a name for herself in recent times, the Tunisian has impressed with her performances this season as she recently made it to the finals of Wimbledon where she lost to Elena Rybakina, now she has managed to reach the US Open final as well.

Ever since reaching the finals of Wimbledon, Jabeur has been struggling for form for most of her North American swing, she managed to reach the quarter-finals stages of the Silicon Valley Classic, she bowed out of the Canadian Open in the first round and the second round of the Cincinnati Open tournament.

Ons Jabeur talks about facing Iga Swiatek in the US Open final

Ons Jabeur has heavily improved on her performances at the US Open, after struggling in the previous tournaments, Jabeur has managed to make her way into the finals of the last major tournament of the season. The Tunisian professional defeated Ajla Tomljanovic and Caroline Garcia to book her place in the finals.

She faces a tough battle against world number 1, Iga Swiatek in the final of the US Open, talking about the match-up Jabeur said, “Well Iga never loses finals, so it’s going to be very tough. I know she struggled a bit with the balls here but I don’t see her struggling much to be honest with you. She’s playing awesome. It’s going to be tough match. Definitely going for my revenge.

Iga Swiatek last beat Jabeur in the final of the Italian Open and Jabeur is keen on taking revenge for that match and she has the perfect opportunity now as both the players face each other in the final of the US Open. Iga Swiatek has been in excellent form throughout the tournament as well.

The Polish professional won almost all of her matches in straight sets as she powered her way to the final of the tournament at the Flushing Meadows. She will be looking to win the 3rd grand slam title of her career but Ons Jabeur has no plans of making it easy for her.
