Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner has been on the rise lately. He has been simply brilliant in the past few tournaments. He started off his sensational run at the 2023 China Open, where he defeated Daniil Medvedev to win the title. Later, he won the Vienna Open as well by defeating the same opponent in the final.

His campaigns in both tournaments were simply spectacular. The Italian went to the finals in both tournaments by defeating some great players. However, Jimmy Connors has warned Sinner to put breaks on his rise if he wants to have a long career after his recent walkover from the Paris Masters 2023.

Jannik Sinner was doing pretty well in the 2023 Paris Masters and reached the round of 16 efficiently. He was supposed to face Alex de Minaur in the round of 16 but had to pull out of the tournament at the last minute due to fatigue. The Italian has been participating and doing well in back-to-back tournaments, so he needs to focus on taking breaks to avoid injuries.

That is exactly what Jimmy Connors opined. He advised Sinner to appoint a better coach who can advise him well about when to take a break, which is what Novak Djokovic does so smartly.

This is where good coaching comes in. There comes a point of time when he'll have to put the brakes on, take a little rest, take care of himself. So when the Australian Open comes around, he's not exhausted. You can push yourself, but not so hard when Slams come around, you're like, 'I'm hurt, I'm tired. Even though he's proven himself, beating all the top players. Winning Masters 1000, now couple tournaments. Winning a Grand Slam will put him on another level,.

Jannik Sinner will look to perform well in the ATP Finals

Sinner is not injured as such but he could not play the round of 16 match against Alex de Minaur as he did not get proper rest before the match.

I finished the match when it was almost three in the morning and didn't go to bed until a few hours later. I had less than 12 hours to rest and prepare for the next game. I have to make the right decision for my health and my body,.

The 2023 ATP Finals will take place between November 12 and November 19, 2023, and Sinner will look to get a proper break ahead of the tournament. If he manages to win the ATP Finals or at least reach the finals, the Italian will end the season on a high.
