In a recent playful banter, Katie Boulter, the English tennis player, recently entertained her fans through a hilarious story on her Instagram. The post featured her boyfriend and fellow tennis player Alex de Minaur

Both Alex and Boulter are currently participating in the ongoing 2023 China Open when the Brit posted a story where her boyfriend was seen holding hands with another girl while entering the court for his match against Daniil Medvedev. Katie posted a story captioned “Holding hands with another girl,” calling Alex a red flag. The jovial relationship parallels the challenges they face as professional players.

Both the players have had a sensational start to the tournament the Australian had started his ATP tour with a phenomenal win against Andy Murray in 3 hard-earned sets. However, he ended up facing Medvedev in the Round of 16, where the Australian fell short of Medvedev. Katie has also fought her way through the qualifiers of the tournament before making it through the Round of 64 against Magdalena Frech and now has booked a date with the World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka

Alex de Minaur falls short as Katie Boulter prepares ahead of her Round of 32 clash at China Open

The power couple of Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter have been known for sharing cute couple pictures supporting each other on and off the court. When Katie won her maiden WTA title, Alex showered her with lots of love and even called her his idol on his social media. The couple made it official back in 2021 and have since been a strong support system for each other. In March, the couple celebrated their 3-year mark with a cute candlelight dinner.

Now, Alex’s tournament was cut short courtesy of Medvedev, but Katie looks strong as she now faces Sabalenka on Tuesday. The Brit showcased her skill on the Moon Court with a 3-set victory. Katie has not had a deep run since her maiden WTA title and this might be an issue facing the US Open finalist Sabalenka who looks to win her first title since dethroning Iga Swiatek as number one.
