In an extraordinary declaration, former Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli made headlines recently as she boldly differentiated between the budding star Carlos Alcaraz and the evergreen Novak Djokovic. Bartoli’s statements might end some debates but it sure started a few more among tennis enthusiasts around the world.

The former French tennis player complimented both the greats of men’s tennis while clearly stating their differences. “One has won three Grand Slam titles this season & the other has won 1. One played 4 Grand Slam finals, the other one played 1. It’s that simple…” said Marion. However, she believes that Novak handled the season better than the Spaniard and his mental game was far ahead of Carlos. “And so far, Novak is doing a better job. It’s obvious that Novak is more at the end of his career than at the beginning. But I found the way he handled this season, his mental strength, and his ability to recover from everything extraordinary,” revealed Marion.
