Former tennis player Martina Navratilova has spoken once again, this time with regard to the Israel-Palestine conflict. She compared the ‘dehumanization’ of the Palestinians by the public to Hitler’s methods. She took to Twitter (now called X) to voice her thoughts on the issue, claiming that de-humanizing a particular group was the first step to “do anything” for said group.

Navratilova has never been media-shy when it came to voicing her opinions on controversial issues. Despite her retirement from the sport nearly two decades ago, she has not stepped out of the spotlight.

She has always had a strong opposition to transgender athletes taking part in the women’s categories in sporting events. However, this time the American have talked about the Israel-Palestine conflict and the dehumanization of the Palestinians. She had taken to Twitter to establish the fact that the Palestinians were being dehumanized by influential platforms.

She compared the ‘dehumanization’ of the Palestinians to methods followed by Hitler. She pointed out that the dehumanization of a particular group of people was the first step to being able to do whatever they wanted with said group. She also made a stark comparison to Hitler and his methods, which were employed nearly eighty years ago.

Martina Navratilova enraged at Israeli President’s claim

The tennis legend was left enraged when Israeli President Isaac Herzog emphasized that none of the citizens of the Gaza Strip are innocent. He said in a press conference that the whole war boiled down to the Israelis defending their homes, and it was entirely possible that the Palestinians were not simple and they may have risen up.

However, Navratilova did not seem to be happy with this statement. 

"How awful is this statement?"
She said as she took to X to establish her views.

However, this is not the first opinion the American has on the issue. She was equally angered when the Israeli President ordered an evacuation of northern Gaza. She questioned the order, completely enraged. She posed the question of where the citizens would move to follow the evacuation order.
