Former American tennis legend Martina Navratilova has launched a scathing attack on Donald Trump, yet again. Navratilova, who has often expressed her reservations about the former American President’s ideology, has called Trump a “sick deranged man” as the latter’s comments about an injured war hero have come to light. 

A user shared a snapshot of an article that talked about Trump’s comments about an injured war hero who had lost his one leg in an IED attack and had a couple of heart attacks and brain strokes due to that accident. The article revealed that Luis Avila, the wheelchair-bound soldier, was invited to sing ‘God Bless America’ at a ceremony.

However, as it had rained that day, Avila’s wheelchair almost toppled over. While others ran to help him, Trump watched it in the distance. Also, after the ceremony was over, the American President congratulated Avila but whispered into the ears of the organizer why had he invited a wounded soldier, claiming no one wanted to see them.

As the snapshot went viral, Navratilova called out Trump for his mentality and claimed he was “Sick beyond help”. “What a truly sick deranged man Trump is. But then we knew that when he made fun of Serge Kovaleski on the campaign trail back in 2016. Sick beyond help,” she posted.

Martina Navratilova never liked Donald Trump

This is not the first time Martina Navratilova has lashed out at Donald Trump. The former World No.1 had been always critical of the former President‘s ideology and has attacked him for his comments many times in the past. While she had heavily criticized Trump for his election campaign against Joe Biden back in 2020, Navratilova was also seen wearing a cap with “Impeach” written on it the same year.

As Trump is gearing up for Presidential elections yet again, Navratilova has been taking a dig at him constantly. The tennis legend had also called out a user for comparing Trump with Nelson Mandela, who is symbolic of the anti-apartheid campaign in South Africa. Navratilova had called the post “the most obnoxious tweet of the day”.

It is worth mentioning that Martina Navratilova is pretty vocal about almost everything happening around her. Also, she is known to express her strong opinions on sensitive topics. Not just Donald Trump, Navratilova had once attacked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi too, calling him being a democratic leader a joke.
