Tennis legend Martina Navratilova has been targeting political personalities consistently on social media. She has mocked former US President Donald Trump on several occasions for various issues. She is also known to voice her opinions on important matters concerning human rights, gender equality, etc.  

This time she took a dig at Marjorie Taylor Greene after the congresswomen showed her unhappiness about her ‘too low’ salary. Greene, often known by her initials MTG, appeared on journalist Glenn Greenwald’s podcast and expressed dissatisfaction about her salary, which according to public records is $174,000 annually.

“Becoming a member of Congress has made my life miserable. I made a lot more money before I got here. I’ve lost money since I’ve gotten here. It’s not a life that I think is like something that I enjoy because I don’t enjoy it,” Greene said.

Navratilova was quick to respond to the claims of the far-right American politician. “Cry me an effing river Marj,” she wrote sarcastically on Twitter responding to another tweet featuring the congresswoman from Georgia state.

The 66-year-old Navratilova has been a constant critic of former US President of Donald Trump. She has targeted him for his faulty policies and troubled past among other things. Even the loyal aides of Trump have come under Navratilova’s radar frequently.

In the latest such dig, Navratilova mocked Trump about his relationship with the adult film actress Stormy Daniels. She shared a meme about the duo on Twitter that depicted the former President as a liar. “Can’t resist,” she wrote while sharing the meme on Twitter. Last month too, Navratilova criticized Trump as one of his aides got into legal trouble for siphoning off funds. 

Navratilova is currently fighting breast and throat cancer at the same time. The Czech–American star provided some updates about the same a few days back. She replied to concerned fans on social media. “How are you @Martina? Just remember, nothing can beat YOU,” a fan asked the 18-time singles Major champion, as she responded, “Hanging in there, thanks”.
