“Horrible behavior” Martina Navratilova slams the NFL for allowing Deshaun Watson to practice with the Browns despite him not completing his suspension over charges of multiple sexual assaults

Martina Navratilova recently took to social media to express her disappointment with the NFL over allowing Deshaun Watson to practice with the Browns despite his 11-game suspension. Watson was suspended for 11 games under the Personal Conduct Policy after numerous allegations of sexual misconduct with masseuses.
While no criminal charges were filed as Watson settled civil lawsuits filed by a number of his accusers, the NFL decided to punish him with a ban that many deemed was too soft. Watson was reportedly seen working with the team during the offseason and the preseason but this will be the first time that he will be associated with the team so closely after the ban before he makes an official comeback on December 4 next month.
Navratilova took to Twitter to react to the news of him being allowed to practice despite the ban and termed this behavior from the NFL as ‘horrible’. “More horrible behavior enabling from the @NFL” she tweeted.
Watson was allowed back at Browns headquarters midway through his 11-game suspension on 10th October and will reportedly start on 4th December in Houston, the first game he’s eligible to compete for the Browns.
