“I’m one of the best players,” says Nick Kyrgios

The 27-year-old star Australian player, Nick Kyrgios, is confident going into the Australian Open. On the occasion of his 10th AO, he feels confident about winning the title and considers himself one of the favorites. His best performance in his home major came in 2015 when he reached the quarterfinals

With the crowd support and experience of playing on hard courts, he feels he can turn the tables this time. When asked about his chances, he said “I am one of the best players in the world. It’s kind of different for me as one of the favorites, usually, I’m a dark horse. This is the first time I’ve felt like one of the guys who can take the trophy.”

However, he is likely to get a difficult draw considering his seeding and, not to forget, his recent injury. He will be hoping he stays fit and can survive the two weeks. The fans and he would both want a better result for him and a good start to the season.
