Novak Djokovic made history in the final of the 2023 ATP Finals, as he has now won the title the most number of times. Earlier, the record was jointly held by him and Roger Federer (6). The Serb beat Jannik Sinner in the final this season to increase his tally to seven. With that, he marked a triumphant end to an already glorious season and will return to court at the 2023 Australian Open. 

The Serb said his win over Jannik Sinner was particularly special for him, as beating the home favorites is always difficult. Sinner, being an Italian, enjoyed the support of the Turin crowd throughout the tournament and it was a significant advantage, according to many. However, it was also special for the Serb, as Sinner had defeated him in the group stage of the tournament for the first time in his career, and this was a fitting way to avenge that defeat.

After the win, Djokovic was seen sharing a special moment with his kids, Stefan and Tara, as the first thing he did was run to them to catch up with them. The Serb always goes to his kids and family after matches and the final was no different. Even after his last group stage victory against Hubert Hurkacz, when it was unsure whether he would even qualify for the semis, Djokovic said that he only thought about hugging his kids and not about the result of the other match.

With that, he has also promised that he will return to court next year with the same hunger, ambition, and goal and that he will not stop anytime soon. 

Novak Djokovic shares how it feels to perform in front of his kids 

After winning the 2023 ATP Finals, Djokovic said his kids give him strength and that he always wanted to perform in front of them once they reached the right age. The Serb mentioned the feeling was very good and thrilling.

They have been so good. It's a thrill. I always wanted to perform in front of them once they reached the age where they are aware of what's going on. I'm so grateful to be a father of these two wonderful angels. They give me strength no doubt.

Djokovic married his wife Jelena in 2014. The couple has two kids, Stefan and Tara. Stefan was born in October 2014 while Tara Djokovic was born in September 2017.
