Retired tennis player Serena Williams created ripples in the tennis world when she cropped Aryna Sabalenka out of her Instagram picture when they jointly attended an event in Miami. Williams and Sabalenka, the former and current WTA World No. 1 tennis players, were seen attending the inauguration of Casadonna, an Italian waterfront restaurant. 

The duo was accompanied by Caroline Wozniacki and her husband, David Lee. With that being said, the event was truly star-studded, with a good chunk of the sporting world in attendance. The group was seen clicking pictures with David Grutman, owner of the new establishment. However, interestingly, the event did not go without its fair share of controversy.

The 23-time Grand Slam title champion shocked the fans of the sport when she downright cropped the Belarusian out of a picture she posted on Instagram. This created quite a controversy when Sabalenka posted the complete picture.

However, while Williams included her husband, Alexis Ohanian, in her post, the current World No. 1 had to cut him off from her post.

Nevertheless, both players seemed to have had quite the night. The events seemed to be at the high end with their extremely star-studded guest list. However, this particular incident seemed to catch the eye of most of the online presence of the tennis world, eliciting a plethora of reactions online.

Former and current World No. 1s Serena Williams and Aryna Sabalenka were seen attending the grand opening of Casadonna, an Italian-inspired waterfront restaurant in Miami, Florida. However, the engaging guest list does not end here.

Caroline Wozniacki and her husband, David Lee, were also spotted at the event. Also in attendance was Victoria Beckham. Williams was accompanied by her husband, Alexis Ohanian, to the restaurant opening. 

For the uninitiated, the restaurant is a joint collaboration between David Grutman and Noah Tepperberg, both prominent figures in the restaurant industry. Grutman was seen clicking pictures with the sporting group as he resorted to social media to post these pictures.
