The sporting world has lost some of its biggest legends in the last couple of years. Brazilian football icon Pele’s demise has brought tears to every sports fan’s eyes as 2022 went by. Amidst this, tennis icon Chris Evert shared a picture online featuring the biggest of the legends like Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Billie Jean King, and Monica Seles among others.

The picture is from 1999 after Sports Illustrated announced the list of Athletes of the century. It features some of the most decorated sporting personalities ever. Chris Evert’s post has delighted every fan on social media.

Evert first commented on the tweet posted by @HoopsNostalgia. “Cherish this photo… have it on my wall.. thank you Walter Iooss!,” she wrote.

Evert later posted the full picture on her Twitter. “So guys, here’s the COMPLETE photo! Lots more legends as you can see. I had goosebumps…,” she added in captions.

Former World No 1 Chris Evert herself is one of the biggest sports personalities. In her career, the 68-year-old won 18 major singles titles, including a record seven French Open titles and a joint-record six US Open titles with Serena Williams. Alongside her greatest rival Martina Navratilova, Evert dominated women’s tennis in the 1970s and 1980s.
