“They only care about the money” Fans berate ATP for not taking strict actions against Nick Kyrgios and Alexander Zverev’s delayed domestic violence case

Nick Kyrgios has been in the headlines for his anger issues apart from his great performances this year including his maiden singles major finals appearance at Wimbledon and becoming a champion in both singles as well as in the doubles category at the Citi Open. He has also been upfront about his mental health issues but faced some serious allegations for domestic abuse by his ex-girlfriend that went into a legal battle to which he has recently accepted to the assault citing mental health issues.

Alexander Zverev had been similarly undergoing an investigation for domestic abuse by his ex-girlfriend but the matter remains unresolved with the ATP’s investigation still under process through a third party and it has almost past a year since the allegations were claimed even though Zverev have refused to the claims. Zverev has been missing out of action since his ankle injury at the French Open.

With the claims made since a year and still no actions have been attempted against both the players Zverev and Kyrgios, ATP has come under the scrutiny for their careless and ignorance stance against such serious allegations which are of much importance as both the German and the Aussie are still active on the Tour.

Nick Kyrgios‘s on-court behaviour has been quite the talk of the town for not being able to control his emotions that has even led to being fined for the same. His verbal spats, bashing of racquets and altercations with linesman and umpries has been quite familiar to everyone. He has even been called a bully at times for his way to distract his opponents during matches.

With such delay over the investigations, ATP has been mocked on social media for not taking serious actions and to set an example that such kind of intolerance is not supported by them. Some even slammed them saying that ATP is only concerned about making money while some called it quite a very ‘disgraceful‘ act.
