The top seed, Carlos Alcaraz keeps producing some amazing shots regularly to stun the fans. Just after hitting an amazing volley and winning a point against Felix Auger-Aliassime in the quarterfinals, he once again showed his class in the semis. In an impossible point to win, Alcaraz was determined enough to win the point against Jannik Sinner.

This 15-shot rally had everything one can ask for. The baseline shots, net shots, volleys, etc made fans witness a thriller. Although Sinner gave a tough fight in the first set, he couldn’t match the level of Alcaraz in the second. The Spaniard won the match in straight sets 7-6(7-4), 6-3 to advance into the finals of Indian Wells Open.

With a third Masters 1000 title, Alcaraz, who made history by becoming the youngest ever number one after winning the US Open last year, could dethrone Novak Djokovic and regain his position at the top. Despite an early lead of 4-2 gained through a break, Alcaraz was caught off guard as Sinner won three consecutive games to take a 6-5 lead.

It will be the third ATP 1000 finals of Carlos Alcaraz’s career. He has a very good opportunity to win the finals and reclaim his top spot. However, he will be facing an in-form Daniil Medvedev who had been in the best form recently. The Russian is the right opponent for Alcaraz to test him and give the fans an entertaining final.

Coming off from an injury, the 19-year-old showed class all over. He was disappointed to miss out on the Australian Open earlier this year. Nevertheless, he made an epic comeback in the two tournaments he played. He won the Argentina Open just after returning back and also reached the finals of the Rio Open.

Medvedev on the other hand just lost two matches this year so far. He won three titles in three weeks and is now in his fourth consecutive finals. All in all, it will be the best match anyone could ask for after the absence of Novak Djokovic. Alcaraz will be facing Medvedev later on Sunday in an exciting final of the Indian Wells Open.
