Stefanos Tsitsipas, the 24-year-old Greek professional has been in excellent form at the 2023 Australian Open. Hailing from Greece, Tsitsipas has made it to the finals of the tournament, the Greek professional made it past many big names like Jannik Sinner, Hijikata, and Karen Kachanov to make it to the penultimate match of the first Grand Slam of the season.

Tsitsipas has been putting in excellent performances throughout the tournament and his performance against Kachanov was no different. The Greek professional has now made it to the finals of the 2023 Australian Open, after a semi-finals which he won in four sets.

One of the highlights of the match was Tsitsipas’ stunning defense against Kachanov. The Greek professional managed to return so many of Kachanov’s hard-hitting shots toward the latter half of the second set.

Stefanos Tsitsipas will be facing either Novak Djokovic or Tommy Paul in the Australian Open final

Stefanos Tsitsipas has managed to reach his maiden Australian Open final. The Greek professional fought through the semis and made it to the penultimate match of the tournament. Facing Karen Kachanov, Tsitsipas won the first two sets of the match but Kachanov looked towards maiking a comeback as he took the third set. Tsitsipas, however, gave no chance for a comeback as he sealed his victory after winning the fourth set.

In a match that ended 7-6(2) 6-4 6-7(6) 6-3, Tsitsipas will now be looking to win his maiden Grand Slam title as he is through to the finals. Just like before it is not going to be an easy task for the Greek professional.

He will either be going up against Novak Djokovic or Tommy Paul in the penultimate match of the Australian Open. Djokovic is the favorite to qualify for the final and to win the title as well so Tsitsipas will be going in the match as the underdog if Djokovic manages to beat Tommy Paul and reach the final.
