Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic

World No. 95 Nick Kyrgios recently took to his Instagram handle for an ‘Ask me Anything’ session, replying to as many fan questions as possible. The Australian has always been quite a character on and off the field and he proved his sense of humour and cheekiness through the various answers he gave.

The Australian has been at loggerheads with quite a few players including the current World No. 1 Novak Djokovic. Kyrgios has often criticised the 20-time Grand Slam champion publicly quite a few times and Kyrgios has often seen him being trolled and critiqued by fans of the Nole since Kyrgios leads Novak 2-0 in head-to-head having won in both of their matches that were played in the space of 2 weeks in 2017.

With the house open for questions, Kyrgios was asked, “if you were trapped on a desert island with Djokovic, what would you do?” With some fireworks expected on such a question, Nick toned it down and just replied, “Play hide and go seek” which came as a shocker to many as Kyrgios has often made remarks that have not gone well with everyone about Djokovic.

Nick Kyrgios and his girlfriend Chiara Passari‘s spat became public knowledge recently after Chiara uploaded their angry message exchange on her Instagram handle accusing the 26-year old of cheating on her. The argument escalated during the couple’s quarantine in Adelaide and they had to be separated in different rooms by the Police department.

Kyrgios then flew to Canberra without Chiara and has hinted that the relationship is over. Amidst all this, Nick was asked, “Nick I broke up with my girlfriend, I’m so devasted, I just want her…” Kyrgios could have skipped the question but he did answer it and said, “Sun will be shining tomorrow my brother,” further hinting towards his own relationship status.

With his 2021 season already over, Nick is currently recovering from his injury and hopes to return next season at the 2022 Australian Open where he can expect himself to be ranked outside Top-100 surely.
