His best performance came at the Estoril Open 2021 where he made it till the semi-finals. But his inconsistency was again prevalent at the Madrid Masters 2021 where he lost in the R32. He sets up this R16 tie by defeating 16th seeded Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets to qualify for the R16.
