Stefanos Tsitsipas is slowly but surely learning to churn out every bit of his talent into performance. The clay court swing of the season started brilliantly for him, as he won the Monte Carlo title. He did well in the Barcelona Open, but for the old guard Rafael Nadal, he would have lifted his second trophy on the go. Madrid was not kind to him as he was ousted in the round of sixteen.

But he is back with full gusto in Rome. After a bye in the first round, he beat Marin Čilić in the second round,7-5 6-2. In the third round, he will be up against the Italian Stallion Matteo Berrettini.

Since returning from injury and gaining his rhythm back, Berrettini has impressed everyone with his brand of tennis. He won the Serbia Open by defeating Aslan Karatsev, and then made it to the Finals of the Madrid Open. In the tournament so far, he has beaten Nikoloz Basilashvili in the first round, and got the better of Australian John Millman in the second, 6-4 6-2.

Berrettini the local lad is all about power. He will look to unleash all his weapons including the famed forehand. This promises to be a mouth watering clash.
